LIVE FROM PHUKET, THAILAND!

After 26+ hours of travel, we finally arrived in Thailand! These past four weeks have been filled with a lot of adjusting: different time zone, climate, culture, and food. We are beyond excited to be here and to be able to champion the genuine, pure, kingdom heartbeat of Glad World. As we’ve settled in and found our rhythm, we have begun mapping out the film projects we aim to do with Glad World during our time here.

Video Projects in the Works:

1. Glad World Promo video - We have filmed the interview for the new Glad World Promo and are in the process of capturing the necessary b-roll to go with it. We cannot wait for Glad World to have an updated promo that allows others to get a feel for who they are and why they do what they do.

2. Story vids - God is moving powerfully in Phuket. We are connecting with the members of the local community here and the pastor and have begun planning for our first interviews.

3. LOVE YOUR ENEMIES - This project is one that we are so incredibly passionate about. We are planning on going to a conflict zone in April to capture stories of people who have learned to love their their actual enemies. Stories such as two very close friends and ministry partners bringing peace to an area where, not long ago, their families were killing each other in the clan wars. Or a drug trafficker who is now reaching out to rebels. Only the radical love of God can enable this type of restoration.

As of now, the projects above are the stories we are pursuing. However, there are so many factors outside of our control, the list above may change. Our desire is to tell the stories that are truly on God’s heart to tell, and we are praying, planning and doing all we can to discern which stories those are.

We felt God highlighting this verse to us, and we feel that our tool of declaration at this time is film and story-telling.

Please continue to pray for us that we can do this with grace, beauty, ease, power and Holy Spirit inspiration. Also, please continue to pray for us as we travel and discover how to do this well as a family. Specifically, grace for the kids through constant transition, God encounters for each them (and us), good health (since being here, we’ve had fevers, colds, rashes, and an ear infection), and traveling mercies.
